make cutlery for a leatherman

In this Instructable I'm going to show how to make cutlery for a leatherman surge.

Step 1 What you will need

You will need:
- stainless steel cutlery (I recommend old cutlery because new cutlery is way to expensive)
- sandpaper (dont know what grit but its one fine grit and one rough grit)
- grinding wheel
- work gloves
- safety goggles
- paper
- fineliner
- glue
- Scissors
- handsaw (for metal)
- waterproof marker

How can you tell if a leatherman has the ability to attach to utensils such as this? I plan to buy one soon and I'd like to be able to make my own, such as these

never mid, I found it. The ones thaat can change blades are listed as having a "blade exchanger"

so far the only one I can find that is made by Leatherman with this blade exchanger is the Surge:

Having the Leatherman Wave, I have the Large bit driver that would be good as well to hold the fork and spoon.

I think this is a great idea. Can you close the leatherman with the utensil attached?

I doubt it since the utensil is so big, but it definitely decreases the overall size of everything, you could probably fit a leatherman and a few utensils in one carrying case (that wont end up being as long as a standard fork)

This is definitely a great idea. One of the few I will probably really end up doing myself. Might even be cool enough to justify a second Leatherman that accepts the jigsaw blades... or just act as a knife to complement the fork.

The higher the number, the finer the grit. Smaller numbers are good for initial smoothing of a surface. Higher numbers, used in sequence, lower to higher, can help you make scratches dissappear, so you can get wood which looks almost like cast plastic, or wood simulated glass.

very nice, this caught my eye with your title but unfortunately I've got a smaller juice S2 which doesn't have the ability to attach other utensils. none the less i still think this is a great idea.
