mini potato gun

Easy step by step instructions will show you how to build a mini potato gun that will easily fit in any pocket out of materials you have probably have at home. WARNING... this is still a gun no matter how harmless it may seem. Don't shoot this at any people or animals.

Step 1 Materials

Things you will need:

x1- large can of cheap deoderant (hair spray gums up the chamber)
x1- chapstick container
x1- Bic pen
x1- crapload of tape (preferably electrical)
x1- lighter sparker (can be found in long BBQ lighters)
x1- sharp knife that comes to a point
x1- needlenose pliers (optional, but recommended)
x2- short sections of thin wire
X2- thumbtacks

MAP Gas, Propane, or even that butane from the lighter you tore apart.
These are good propellants plus they burn a lot cleaner than aerosols.

capn tac, i canget like 100+ feet with one made from pill bottle shooting eraser!

mechanical penci erasors, ive shot a few ear cleaners, ok, the mad darts, litttle better, but nothing can size up to an eraser from a mechanical pencil, even if it is blunt, it has awasom penetrating power and speed!

ok, tried this, then went to glue stick, the to those creamy seethrough yellow pill bottles, and i have to tell you, the pill bottles work the best, i think they have the right O- propellant ratio,, and i tell you, mine is powerfull, shot it in my room for the first time with an eversharp eraser in it, Boom! parents came in thinkin my room blew up, so i threw it under the bed real quick, said it was my power strip thing for my tv! so funny.... no more shooting in the house! i might post a vid or post it if people want.

You'd load it like a muzzle loader. Put in some packing, (napkin, paper towel, newspaper, whatever. Just make sure that there are no gaps between the packing and the tube. It should also be longer than it is in diameter so that the packing doesn't flip sideways.) pour in some airsoft bb's, and some more packing that just holds the bb's in, and can be smaller than the first packing.

Before I use my only igniter on this, what's your average range on this thing? I'd like for it to be at least around 20 feet, my friend and I started a war recently of improvised weapons, and I'd love to whip this little guy out of my coat pocket and shoot him with it.

a) take the cap off and put in the propellant, then put the cap back on. put the ammo in the barrell then push it in a little ways

I made the damn thing....at 12:00 AM ...was bored, relized I had nothing for fuel lol....ended up taking a pen cap and putting on an air duster can...fits perfect and launches the little potato pretty far....

so if anyone is lazy they can use that lol

also ...i took a bbq lighter, drilled a hole in the cap and taped it onto it so it's like a little handle with a trigger on the cap

Hey, just thought i would tell you about my version of this I used an old pill bottle, the orange small ones. i pretty much did every thing you did, except, the barrel is attached to the lid, so the barrel screws off Also, for the barrel, i used and old airsoft gun barrel, i took it apart a while ago, and thought hey, why not? Its not the entire barrel, just the metal rod. its the sam size as a pen, except its 2 feet long :D haha and having a longer barrel makes it go faster with less pressure. so its pretty fast
