The lenses look like under sink drain pipe fittings, they come in brass, chrome or black or white plastic. They are availble at Homey Dep. or Loweeees, or any plumbing supply! Am I correct ?

they look cool.. until you put them on. sorry =/

They still look pretty cool when they're on, you just need the proper attire.

Those look really great! I mean, like, REALLY nice!! If you could make a guide on how to make those, I would be so grateful. Because those are just so awesome! <3

People should understand what slide shows are for =/

ripped directly from the 'about' page: "Instructables is a web-based documentation platform where passionate people share what they do and how they do it, and learn from and collaborate with others"

ripped straight from submit What can I use slideshows for? "Slideshows are for showing off photos of what you made or did, but don't have full instructions to create an Instructable with."

Yeah - I would love some more details on how she made these, and maybe we can needle ink_eyes to post some more juicy bits underneath her slideshow, but there's nothing wrong with it as it is...

Slideshows are intended to show off a finished project; anything more is gravy... ;-)

Maybe I'm just picky but I would like to see an Instructables sister site called Complete-ables where people put the things they have made using instructions found on Instructables. That way people who want to submit real Instructables (strong how-to documentation) can do so here and others can submit strong documentation of the finished reproductions at Complete-ables. (with appropriate linking to the original Instructable) That would help cut down on the clutter of non-instrucables. I get tired of seeing things that seem like good ideas but finding all that's on the page is a finished product or a badly made video tossed onto cafe. (that last bit's actually a different matter) and to ink_eyes: nicely made. The rims look familiar. What did you use to make them?

umm... those look like painted bottlecaps...

what did you use for the gold colour? It's much smoother than others I have seen.

The eye pieces look like some sort of brass fittings. Kinda remind me of a connector for a fire hose, but they seem a little to flimsy for that.

Hah cool.

uuhhhh yeah, this is what they're for, showing your project, usually followed by an instructable.
