toys I have knit
clokay says: Nov 16, 2011. 7:19 PM
These are wonderful!! I was wondering where i can find the pattern for the pokemon toys? I've been looking everywhere and can't find a single knit pattern for them.
Purlandplain says: Aug 23, 2011. 1:18 AM
Gorgeous - especially the Peter Rabbit and the adorable Jesus-Mary-and-Joseph (and donkey). Would you mind telling where these patterns are available, please?
moroccanbride (author) in reply to PurlandplainAug 24, 2011. 2:43 PM
The patterns are mostly quite old - I have been a knitter for ages! I think they are out of print, sorry. The designer is Alan Dart and he has a website where he sells his patterns - I don't think these particular ones are there but he has many other beautiful ones.
Purlandplain in reply to moroccanbrideAug 24, 2011. 3:15 PM
Saw his website and bought one lovely pattern, but didn't see these ones there, unfortunately. Thanks for answering.

i love knitting , how could i get this peter rabbit pattern ?
monsons98 says: Feb 22, 2009. 9:43 AM
You and I have the same taste in knitting patterns! I have the Alan Dart book and most of Jean Greenhowe's. She has a website with free patterns on it if you do a web search. Your work is very true to the patterns.
moroccanbride (author) in reply to monsons98Feb 22, 2009. 12:38 PM
Cool! Do you have nay of your toys on the net anywhere?
monsons98 in reply to moroccanbrideFeb 22, 2009. 3:38 PM
I have an etsy store called FairyTaleDSigns where I put up some of my non-knitted toys. I usually make the knitted toys for gifts or just for fun! I did sell my Jean Greenhowe Humpty Dumpty, though. thanks for asking!

Thank you. I'm so sorry but my patterns are not available for lending. Many of them are in rough shape - I have a tendency to "maul" them as I knit them :( and I'm afreaid they won't last.

Thank you. I'm so sorry but the pattern is not mine to share as it is copyright. I really hope you will be able to obtain a legal copy in time.

Stunning! What a talent you are!
moroccanbride (author) in reply to jelenamitic77Feb 12, 2008. 10:15 AM
thanks! but I'm not really talented-I just try really hard to make good toys. if I were talented I would figure out how to edit my own picture to be of my face and not my boobs!
jelenamitic77 in reply to moroccanbrideFeb 12, 2008. 1:42 PM
I'm sure lots of people like your booby photo! :) Anyway, I'd like to tell you one more thing about the dolls. They look amazingly kind and tender. It's not just your skill to make them technically good, but they seem to have a soul. One of the bunnies has a "supwised" look, the snowman is like a little boy with nothing but a warmth in his heart, and the black and white kitty is like a favorite cartoon character (is it actually?). So that's how I feel about your projects. I really haven't seen anything like that before. Wonderful! I'm so happy just to see how many beautiful things can be produced in this world!

I am so glad you put up pictures of your toys! We have knitted so many of the same ones - (from Jean Greenhowe!) I am knitting Alan Dart's Noah's Ark at the moment, my first Alan Dart Knit! I love your Bob the Builder - I am just going to have to knit him!
moroccanbride (author) in reply to stinkymumFeb 8, 2008. 7:35 PM
I know! it's a little strange, almost! and we are both Valeries!
sylram says: Feb 8, 2008. 7:03 AM
Do you have the pattern for the gingerbread boy? I need something quick for our Shrek Themed United Way Basket. Thanks Marlys mdxxs@pshtc.ks.gov
Hello Kitty says: Feb 3, 2008. 3:59 PM
Wow! You are a GREAT knitter! Is there any way I can get the pattern for the "Bob the Builder?"
canida says: Jan 26, 2008. 2:14 PM
Those are cute! I especially like the chubby Peter Rabbit. What patterns did you use?
moroccanbride (author) in reply to canidaJan 26, 2008. 2:37 PM
Thank you - they are almost all patterns by Jean Greenhowe and Alan Dart. the Peter Rabbit is by Alan DArt - he did the whole Beatrix Potter line.
Kiteman in reply to moroccanbrideJan 27, 2008. 2:57 PM
My wife knits. A lot.

Some days all I hear is Jean Greenhowe this and Alan Dart that.

She tells me that UK & US knitting uses very different terminology, so I guess you're a UK knitter?
moroccanbride (author) in reply to KitemanJan 27, 2008. 3:47 PM
HaHa my husband has to put up with hearing about my knitting all the time!! I'm Canadian
Kiteman in reply to moroccanbrideJan 28, 2008. 5:51 AM
My wife is bound to ask - do Canadians knit in the American style or the British style?
canida in reply to moroccanbrideJan 27, 2008. 10:53 AM
Thank you! I'll have to look them up.

Hah, I've just this slideshow to my wife. She says; "Hasn't she been a busy girl? I've got those." It seems she has all those patterns except for the Pooh Bear and the Pokemon.
Fruppi says: Jan 26, 2008. 7:32 PM
Oh wow, your Peter Rabbit is really adorable. I also really like your penguin.
GorillazMiko says: Jan 26, 2008. 4:00 PM
Really cool! I like the Bob the Builder (that's it, right?) I like the ginger bread man too. :P Nice job! +1 rating. (added to favorites)
