when i learned that i got a summer home in L.A, my mom wanted a palm tree 'cuz all the nieghbors had one and we didnt and my job was to 'watch it nurture and grow' by doing slave labor. it costed about 60 bucks to get all the fertilizer :(. But still, it was pretty fun to do, despite all the damn mosquitoes and ants.
