This is instructabule is for the Nerf  mavric, it increases loading speed and power. and a dart mod

rapid nerf monkey your gun may look awesome but the end of the barrel is painted too, you need to have it orange so the cops no that it is a fake gun and not real so i would start un-painting the tip of the barrel.

ya i figured that out. mine is screwed now, so i'm using the spring for something else.

In my experiences, removing those actually reduces the range a dart will fly! I am fairly certain those are actually put in to prevent large air blasts during a dry fire. The only thing that will actually increase the range of the dart is replacing the air compressor spring.

 im having a hell of a time getting the nub off too..  pushing isnt helping, tried for half an hour... any other suggestions?

 also, it has been a while since i have done this, but look for a silver peg sticking out of the back and press on it realy hard and twist and it should come right off

 trust me try relay hard, it is tough, make sure u have all of the skews un done, if necessary you may need to resort to pliers of a large size

TIP: for the wistler darts rip the wistle off. This realy helps.

ok, i have yet to still Finnish this instructable, insted of using two springs extend the spring that was original in the gun. if the coking mec breaks, cut off the top slot for it and use a skrew driver, trust me.

 I found if you take a pair of decent sized wire cutters and slide them under the front grey piece on the orange end of the barrel and squeeze it comes right apart no problem

 Today i was doing this instructabule again do to contentious comments of " how did you git the end of the dart chamber off.

well, you push on the metal rod you see once you git it off, then grab some pliers and pull it of, problem solved.

nice mod dude that had to take you long to do also how accurate is it over 45ft and did it lose range after the first few uses when you modded it and is this your back up?????????????????????????????

 i do not actually play Nerf, i buy Thayer guns manly to mod, but i still do enjoy shooting my friends and family, and playing Russian roulette with the gun, and it fires about 50 ft depending on angle and wind and all, but i would definitely make this my back up if i entered a fight

good mod though i did mine a bit better because i drilled a hole in about half way in the Air Restrictor and it hits marvoless ranges trust me.

where EXACTLY did you get yours? P.S. when i opened the gun and put it together,  now i have to pull the trigger back ALL THE WAY would you know why?

 you may need to try a better spring for your gun, i got my gun at walmart. and the spring from a rc car.

Just a note (from experience): your cocking mech is going to break.  Not only is the original spring streeful on th weak cocking mech, but two will deffinetly break it.  Mine broke, evemn after fixing it with epoxy.  I now how  a steel rod for pulling back the plunger.

 I apologize, but that is a rather crappy paint job. next time, I would recommend that you used spray paint for a more even coat and smooth texture. paint job aside, that was a really great instructable! : )

Why not put a little hot glue at end to keep bbs in?

if you put hot glue it will increase the weight, and fire good, but it will not be able to launch a airsoft bb out
