Many people that make beer butt chicken are exposing themselves to pretty nasty stuff.

Yooper, you talk about beer a lot :) Are you the Yooper from HBT?

In such a small amount I highly doubt there is a need to worry. However, if you are concerned about the coating then I would line the can with a little aluminum foil.

There's a place in Leicester Square (London), and probably hundreds more, that sell these. From an ex-girlfriend'd experiene, DO NOT bite off the bottom of the cone while it's still full, unless you want to look like you've just puked on the pavement in the middle of London :-)

Pizza in a cup is awesome! You're gonna drive the old pizza in a cup guy outta business!

That looks brilliant and I think that your dough recipe looks better than mine. I'm doing it.

Dude. You reinvented hot pockets. Only WAY better.

Whoa, being compared to hot pockets is quite the honour!
If pizza cones can help usher in a new era of vanquishing hunger, the way hot pockets did for me when I was younger, I would be a happy maker.

I just had to give this a try and it turned out pretty well. I enjoyed it a lot, but I'd recommend doing it with others or for a party because it is a lot of work for just one person to enjoy :P

Terrific! We saw/ate pizza this way in Japan. They have a super high tech/cool machine to make them!

Love this idea! Using a bread machine is a great timesaver. Just throw it all in and wait a few hours. Voila!

Awesome... Going to have to make these!
depotdevoid says: Oct 18, 2011. 7:41 AM
Wow, those look fantastic! Somehow, it just seems fitting that you would bake a pizza cone in a beer can . . .
mikeasaurus (author) says: Oct 18, 2011. 7:56 PM
Pizza and beer..together?!  Someone better write this down!
depotdevoid says: Oct 18, 2011. 8:07 PM

Homemade pizza is the best!
If you make this, post your results!

They actually have silicone ice cream cone shaped baking molds used for cupcakes. That may be safer, but great idea!
Pdj79 says: Oct 18, 2011. 10:03 AM
I made something similar but never thought to use a can. I have some tall beer cans I may try this with as they look a little stubby for me. Excellent job. Definitely going to try your recipe for the crust.
