plant tags from discarded plastic

Do you ever look at a piece of packaging as you're about to throw it into the trash and think, "My god, this trash is beautiful.."  I do that fairly often and I've taken to saving the prettiest bits of trash, especially clear sheets of pristine plastic packaging.

Here's something easy you can make out of the top of a plastic clamshell from the bakery department.

Step 1: Supplies

the plant tag pattern, given below
a sheet of clear plastic
scissors or a craft cutter if you have one
sharpies: for writing on plastic
