Did something akin to this when I was 14-15. made mine a barrelloader though. Had to add terminals to the end of the rocket, so that when I slid it into the barrel, the electrical contact was already made when it hit the bottom of the tube, and I just had to push the trigger. Most expensive 20 rounds of ammunition I've ever fired off in the course of a minute. Last note of mention, create a backwash shield to protect your face. Safety glasses are good, but full face protection is better (knows from experience)

cool idea, be even better if you could put rifled slots in the barrel for fins, and have it so that the engine slides onto an igniter, and the trigger connects two wires to discharge a battery or capacitor. You may also be able to make it so that the igniters are on a clip, and make a clip for the engines. Your single shot has now turned into a semi-auto! Oh, the possiblities! Great for high population areas!
