it has a new firing mecanisem designed by me. fires rubberbands but i am working on a mod to make it fire a rod with a connector on the back. long barrel mod comming soon!!!!!

In honesty, I don't see the point in building K'nex guns for looks alone. Though the look is somewhat important to me, all my guys are really built for function before anything else. I'd suggest looking elsewhere if you're looking for good looking guns.

As for this gun, it was much less a real gun then a prototype for a semi-auto. The mech is all I care about on this gun. I know this gun is a frame, I didn't build it to be amazing, I built it to work lol.

I built it, and so far it's a picky gun to fire. :p I kind of wish I could fire it without having to pull the trigger-as-fast-as-I-can-or-else-all-the-ammo-will-pop-off-at-once, you know? It's got a pretty neat design, though, but a weird handle that bends the parts in wrong ways, so I'll give it a 3.5*

Haha. This was one of my earlier guns and not the best built one. I'm sure that if i wanted to I could redesign the handle and such to work better, but i'm not amazing interested in working on this again. As for pulling the trigger as fast as you can/ you shouldn't have to unless you add a bunch of rubberband(I believe around 10. I can't be certain though since i don't have the gun anymore to test that). It does sound like it's not working correctly though. When you pull the trigger back all the way the front slide part should be blocking the small gear from spinning if that makes any sense.

There's just this certain spot where, if you hold the trigger a certain way, the gear will continue to spin, and nothing will stop it, which will release all the bands. Because the bands are pulling 'hard', there are times where the gear will continue if the trigger isn't pulled fast enough. It may be my choice of bands, they may not be long enough or whatever, but I MAY try modding this later. :)

thank you for the complement! i am still not sure that this is the best RBG out there though. it is one of the only semi-autos though(the definitely the only one with this system.). you should try down-gearing the read gear(if you know what i mean) to give the mech some more power, and so the red gear does not have to turn so much to fire(i might just build this again and show you, the mod shoud make it 10X better)

this and the RBG repeater that uses 2 gears. this is better as more force is used up firing the band than torquing the 2 gears.

yeah, thats what my slight problem was that if i put more than 16 rubber bands on, the tan clip connecting to the small gear kept on coming off, but i changed it for a red gear, now it's perfect! and ive made it into a fully automatic SMG. i will be posting pics soon

ok, are you putting then one space apart? because that is your problem, you need to move it back one space(move it back when you pull the trigger) and then load it.
