Take one of the darts between your thumb and index finger. Hook the dart on the rubber band and pull back. When you believe the force is sufficient, let go.And, most importantly, have fun!

only if you don't have a license. and then you need a permit to set them off depending on how big and what kind they are. but thats just going from my knowledge. just go to a store and ask them. :)

Instead of using an elbow to make a handle, use a 3 way junction so you can stick the handle and barrel in it without taping. Makes the handle sturdier. Just a helpful mod. Nice instructable though

The 3-way junction is called a Tee, just like the letter "T".

Also expirimenting with this I found that the larger diameter piper work better, and using a 3-5 inch long pipe works best. Agian nice instructable

this thing is sweet its raining so i cant run around outside or anything but dude i shot it across my yard from the door an it hit like 2 feet below where i was aiming.. lotta water came outta the tree.

use a pencil instead of paperclip-my one and only instructable has a more primitive version of this, and it shoots pencils

how far will this shoot? and... doesent the paper clip tend to hit the back of the barrel when you let it go? Nice clear instructions anyways! im gunna go try this right now. ~Twisted

First, the gun will shoot pretty far. As soon as I read your post I tried it. It Shot a good 22 feet and could probably have gone farther if it didn't hit a wall. Second, I haven't had a problem with the paperclip hitting the back of the barrel. As long as you pull it straight back, it should be okay. I haven't had any problems yet.
