Step 4Adding the "business end" to the darts

adding the "business end" to the darts
now its time to add the screws/pins to the cones, I'll get to the broadhead on the next step.

take the cones, wait till the glue is dry mind you, and snip off a little from the tip. for stun darts screw in from the front, for the hunting darts, the opposite, from the inside out. and super glue in place. make sure you have snipped enough from the tip, if it doesn't screw in easily, snip off a little more and try again. you shouldn't have to rip the cone at all

for the practice darts, just take the cone and push the pin through from the back, and superglue in place.

see? simple!

UPDATE: recently i have tried other means of darts, and have found 2-3 inch nails to be EXCELLENT for hunting, especially the kind with a spiral twist, and serration on the end, they make for AMAZING hunting darts, and will take down almost any prey up to the size of a squirrel in one fell swoop.

I've made my darts from paper and used pop rivets as the point. These are awesome! I can stick them deep into a plasterboard wall from 30 feet. The 'pointy end' is already quite sharp but they can be easily sharpened with a file in a few seconds.
