the ultimate blowgun

Step 6The super secret never-miss ancient mayan aiming technique!!

the super secret never-miss ancient mayan aiming technique!!
this is the way which i have learned through the infinite knowledge of google, how to flawlessly aim a blowgun. and as long as your darts are on the level, you could be a william tell of the blowgun in a matter of hours.

first pick your target and get those practice darts ready!

start with a pop can at about 10 feet and look at it while you have the blowgun to your lips, ready to fire.
now, while still focused on the can, look at the end of your blowgun, the difference in space between your eyes means that while focussed on the can you should see what seems to be two faded blowguns,
you'll know what i mean when you try it,

now align the blowgun so the center of the can is between the two points of the blowgun, then to blow, (yes, there is a wrong way) keep your mouth as open as possible and make a kind of cough so the air flows as freely as possible through the tube. if held steady, you should have a practice dart right in the middle of your pop can.

hurrah! you know how to aim a blowgun! keep in mind that the farther the target is, the more you may have to raise the aiming point.

now just practice for a bit once in a while and in a week i bet you could hit a penny out of a persons hand.

don't actually try that, by the way.

I did that with darts, three times in a row and I'm not even sure how. It stuffed my darts though!

well the tanked part was a "joke". but i was going to start with a small target, say around 1 foot square, then start at ten feet and slowly go up to around 50 feet or so until i can get it about 8/10 times. then if i go camping i might try and get some birds if i feel brave enough, or maybe the snakes and rabbits i hear are there. but basically for target and fun stuff p.s.ill then paint racing stripes on my darts so theyll go faster.

well i went to my hardware store and ended up with what looks like 3 1/2 foot long piece ov pvc. it was that or a 18 foot piece... it was 18mm. half an inch is 1.27cm (12mm rounded off because thats the closest you can get) so i had to adjust the width of the compass, i worked out that it is about 3.4-3.5cm works. i cant get them to go as far as would liked but im going to tinker with it and reread the ible. p.s. if you put glue inside a cap (one of the small red ones from the 8 shots) then place it on the end of a dart it can scare the crap out of people.

cause im 15 and cant spring up $50 for a nice piece of copper tubing. but my sister owes me $70 so guess where thats going... and it doesnt bend on me my arms are long enough that i can keep it reasonably straight, plus i can nail a part of my fence from the other side of my backyard, it's about 60feet across i guess, give or take 10 feet, the fence part is about a metre across and 1.7 high, so im pretty good i reckon. p.s. i will get some copper pipe as soon as i have the money to spend on it. but i dont atm.

hey, what would be the biggest game I could take with a 5mm wide broadhead and regular lungs (meaning I'm not an opera singer but not a smoker either, just an average bloke). Could I maybe kill rabbits within the 20 yards mark if hit in the vitals? How about pheasants, crows, pigeons, squirrels, frogs, snakes, my neighbor's butt? BTW, very nice tutorial on the aiming and dart making part. I came up with the aiming part on my own while practicing. 5/5
