the knex made safe nintendo ds holder!

after the gameboy holder, i kind of promised i'll make one for the nintendo ds too, but because i don't have one, i used the one that my little sister lends from her friends, that why it has that pink color... and i've made an gameboy advance-game card holder, it can be placed on both my holders. the safety system is the same as before. anyway, here is:

Step 1 The central frame

so, let's get started:

pic 1: make this
pic 2: and this, of course...
pic 3: the orange (brown on the picture) connectors must have these black connectors on them.
pic 4: connect all you've made until now...
pic 5: this is real easy, make this on every corner of the frame, and don't forget the rubber bands.
pic 6: the locking pin, really easy.

that thing looks like it's meant for travel in a war zone... i mean, why give it suspension and a frame? why not just a shell? either way, i'm modding it so that it's smaller and can be turned over without falling.

nice that someone build it, or at least says it... this thing is just a big box to hold a nintendo ds. if the nintendo falls without it, it will have a fair chance to break something. this frame protects it in two ways: the rubber is highly moveable and breaks lot of gravitational energy and the shockwave, the frame itself isn't flexible and breaks a lot of the shockwave before breaking itself. if this thing falls from a high spot, if will 'sacrifice' itself to save the nintendo.

seriously. the DS, i know from experience, can survive being hurled at a wall from a rubberband powered catapult. just never aim for windows. or anything glass. the things are built like bricks and hurt like bricks.

i think so, but it isn't so hard to make the inner frame smaller, just take the black pieces away from the orange (brown in the picture) connector, making the frame a bit smaller.

i don't think that's possible, if it is playable the protecting frame would be too small, and it would lose it's protection, wich makes it different from the other holders. thanks for building!

Those are some pretty strong rubberbands to hold a ds up! good instructions too, 5 stars
