Introduction: Txt in School

Picture of Txt in School

this is how to text message in school it is very easy and all to need is 2 household items and 2 tools. this is for the Instructables mash up contest so please rate it high!!!!!!!!!
you should only use this in study halls and don't get caught if a teacher walks by filp to page and pretend to read.

Step 1: The Materials

Picture of The Materials

all you need is a cellphone for texting a book (make sure its somthing you would read) a pen and a matknife.

Step 2: Cutting and Tracing

Picture of Cutting and Tracing

all you have to do is trace your phone and cut out the lines (you can make it square if you want) check every now and then to make sure it still fits. when you trace make sure there arew a few pages before the the phone so you can pretend to read. ;)

You could at least use a bad book to do it. Harry potter, anything by J.R.R. Tolkin, or any of the hardy boys books would have been great. Because you want to text, a good book had to die. Shame on you.

reconchief (author)Sgt.Waffles2012-01-02

the hardy bros arnt bad. there 1 of the best series ever shame on u

homestuck (author)Sgt.Waffles2010-11-08

Harry Potter books are not bad >:(

Saturn V (author)Sgt.Waffles2010-07-27

Harry Potter books are not bad. JRR Tolkien books are a chore to read, but the plot's pretty good. Hardy Boys: Some are good, some are bad.

mg0930mg (author)Sgt.Waffles2008-09-28

I dissagree while dean koontz is great, harry potter and hardy boys are fairly good. J.R.R. Tolkein isn't something I'd read so ehh.

Duct Tape Dude (author)mg0930mg2010-07-19

same here, those books are fine. if you want a crap book to destroy, use New Moon!!!!!!!!! (And instantly 900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, teenage girls and soccer moms start ATTACKING ME)

santy22 (author)Sgt.Waffles2009-01-16

thats right, you could use any of that crap...

Saturn V (author)2010-07-27

Make sure to silence the cell phone. Otherwise the beeping would give it away.

quesoman (author)2009-09-02

santy22 (author)edfel012009-02-16

Goodhart (author)santy222009-08-15

with some phone plans texting is an extra charge....and may not be enabled if someone doesn't want to pay that charge... :-)

santy22 (author)Goodhart2009-08-20

good to know! also sms is good, sms language is BAD.

fireblast_1212 (author)edfel012009-03-09

You can have free texting even if you don't have a phone. Just look at me instructable.

fireblast_1212 (author)2009-03-09

Shouldn't you cut a hole on the left side? Then you would be flipping the page the right way.

xproplayer (author)2009-02-11

until the teacher walks behind you

maxpower49 (author)xproplayer2009-02-12

thats when you flip to a page and pretend 2 read untill you book starts to vibrate lol

xproplayer (author)maxpower492009-02-12

Nice Work. I did a similar instructable check it out:

Ipod Book Instructable

TheScientist (author)2007-11-08

can i just make one suggestion:

read the book before you destroy it, so that if anyone asks you why you're always reading the same book, you can just say that you like it.

and then if they ask you anything about it or try to trap you by saying "hey, wasn't that *non-existant bit* cool..." you can just be all "WTF you on about fool?! that isn't in this book"

and thus appear intelligent and well-read while getting out of doing any real work!

magganrchy (author)TheScientist2007-11-09

or use Cliff notes

looking4ideas (author)magganrchy2008-09-22

spark notes work too = )

mrmath (author)TheScientist2007-11-08

Or, you could try paying attention in school.

mrmath (author)2008-04-29

It's OK. I understood. That's why I put in the :)

mrmath (author)2008-04-21

Sorry. I'm a parent, and a former teacher. Not allowed to like this idea. :)

zumbo333 (author)2008-02-15

noooooooooooooooowayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy this was my idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice tho man i thought it was total my idea oh well iv had it for a while but u built it and made an instructable sooo kudos!

Kaitlinthegreat (author)2007-12-01

Nice,A bit simple, but I probably wouldn't have ever thought of this.

skimask (author)2007-11-17

i just put a book so its parallel with me, and than text

magganrchy (author)2007-11-09

I use my pocket and it works fine actually after a while I found it useful to mark the 5 with a little tiny bit of glue (enough to feel it) now I can text without even looking at the phone and I only have to see it to read the incoming...which I do half in my pocket with the side of my body containing the phone away from the teacher

oinkoinkzoopals (author)2007-11-08

thats pretty sweet but i looks like it wouldnt work well with my flip phone though:(

just open the phone and measure it and cut it out with the phone open

maruawe (author)2007-11-08

Hech, thats how I used to carry my gun(25 auto)when the bad guys were active.cutting it square is best

gamer (author)maruawe2007-11-08

what city do u live in, god, a gun. did u shoot it at anyone, cause i would admire that!

maruawe (author)gamer2007-11-09

thank God I did not shoot anyone, At that age I thought that I was invincible, I was not invincible but It took a couple years and military service to find that out.. What I did was stupid in the first degree..To answer your question. Shooting people is not admirable.. not shooting people is admirable

FrenchCrawler (author)gamer2007-11-08

Unless you were the one being shot at...
