Hello, I love these little collectibles. I would like to know if you know what the best preservation oil and magnification oil to use when doing this is? Ive also seen where they color the oil. Do you know what to use to color the oil? I would love to hear back if you or anyone reading this knows. Thanks.
Glass tube! look up sciece experiment glass tube. It easily melts closed and easily breaks clean for length. use a small propane torch. There you have it.
Awesome!
Now I wish I could find a container like your!
I looked around, and all I can find is too big for the rice :(
If you can find one, use a dead glass fuse
http://www.taydaelectronics.com/servlet/the-369/Fuse-Glass-Fast-Acting/Detail
one of those, dunno if thats the exact type but my dad used to have alot of them when I was a kid and whenever he would toss one out I would find it and mess with it, didn't know what it was then but you can get them to come apart, they are neat, and really small. so hey.
use one of that minijars that they're used for perfume samples
It might be easier to stick the piece of rice to a bit of putty or poster tack, i find its more reliable and less damaging to the rice
Awesome... I want to try it!
it's easier whit a toothpick :]
This is great. I was really hoping you would share some awesome secret about how to write your name on a piece of rice that would make it dead simple, but no, I see it requires patience and skill. Ah well. Good job!
I was amazed at how there's no "big secret"!
Hello I was wondering were you got the containers from? was it a website? Thanks
