Very cool. Just a thought from bottle openers I've used / made. You have made a classic "lift up" opener. If you turn the slot that you cut at the front of the spike around, then the opener is a "push down" type opener which can be much easier to use. Especially when the bottle is on a table / bar, you just hook the opener on the cap and push the lever down. Neither is right or wrong, just a different way of doing it.
