Awesome job! That mask is amazing. I was so happy to see such a well done Anubis mask that it has inspired me to try to replicate it. So far so good, just need to make a few more trial and error templates and should have a pretty good base using your design. Only part I plan to change is the ears, using either the same paper method or use air dry clay which is in the prototype stages. Thanks very much for the inspiration!
Oh wow I totally have to try that out. Awesome awesome idea, thanks very much for sharing. ^_^
Awesome, make sure the clay doesn't make it too heavy. :-DI have since added an "enhancement" you may be interested in.I bought one of these monster voice synthesizers:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Voice-Changer/51056084It isn't loud enough, so I opened it and hacked an input jack into the speaker output on it. The jack fits one of these:https://www.walmart.com/ip/808-Thump-Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-Red/44751791You will have to experiment with a couple resistors on the input wire to get the right volume, raw is too loud and distorts the output too much, and causes squeaky feedback. (Sorry can't recall.)I then worked the synthesizer and amp in under the hair, synthesizer on the right, speaker on the left, attached to the mask with zip ties. You let people get in real close and let it rip: "I AM ANUBIS, GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD!" :-DTotally freaks them out. Be careful with young kids though. :-D
"Foil" RFID Credit Card Theft
Replacing a Car Convertible Top
Been thinking about doing this, goes on the bucket list. Gopro with WiFi will do very nicely. :-)
Build a GoPro Surf Pole
I just went to my bank and requested new cards WITHOUT the RFID chips. They're annoying, inconvenient, and not universally accepted, let alone the fact that they may or may not be less secure than the magnetic strip.
That is also mentioned in the consumer report article, and other places as well, the scanner is looking for a signal and the two of them give it no intelligible data. The problem is that we live in a world described by Huxley in Brave New World, the truth is given to us freely but it's so buried in trivial white noise (see: Kardashians and kittah videos) that it becomes very difficult to discern truth from distraction. So yes . . . what if they are right? Let people laugh, opinions don't mean anything at all. :-)
I work for one off the top credit card processors in the US. The antennas and wattages used with contactless cards mean the usable maximum range for meaningful data transmission is at most about 6 inches. Even if you somehow were to get anything out of the card remotely life this, the tokenization system EMV cards use renders that data worthless unless the card is in near-near field communications with an emv terminal and the card issuing bank.
