You should be able to use any old android phone as a GPS using an app like this one: http://www.jillybunch.com/sharegps/about.htmlThe old phone will not need to have an active cell phone account, just connect it to WiFi to install this app or one of the similar apps available.Also, it should be possible to have the Raspberry Pi boot straight into the navigation app. I know this is possible in Linux, but I don't have a Pi to test with so I can't post details. Maybe someone who built this can experiment and post the results.
