RF 7.5 https://www.amazon.com/Great-Planes-RealFlight-Con...The FAA regulations are very extensive and include, you must have line of sight, no FPV unless you have a spotter, if your drone is more than half a pound you must register it, you are not allowed to fly over private property without permission and more.
From what I have seen it seems that people are forgeting RF 7.5 and the FAA regulations that are extremely important
Although I haven't gotten into "drones" quite yet, it would be good to mention RF 7.5 and the fact that due to FAA regulations you are not allowed to use FPV goggles unless you have a spotter, the fact that you will probably have to register your "drone" and other FAA regulations.
I would recommend putting a small description at the begining that includes the part list and describes what this will do and how.
If it was a lithium battery after ten years it was probably dead, Lithium batteries have a limited amount of charges and discharges before they die, may have been a different situation with you. The batteries have a feature made to protect you from over charging or over discharging the batteries and the charger may not be faulty but just sensing something was wrong so it wouldnt charge it.
I reccomend giving a heads up on the small (but ever present) dangers of modifying a Lithium battery. Even people who know the dangers can screw up, its just being prepared.
I will be making a similar system but on a smaller scale, The main idea is using a fish tank, ill let you know how it goes
