    I'll have a little fun here with the several people speculating on my brother's personage. He is indeed a respectable gentleman, civil engineer by trade but more importantly a quiet and good family man. We're both in the middle of years-long renovations/restorations of 100+ year old houses, but he does a lot more cool side projects than I. This is one of the best ones, I'm glad he documented it and did this nice write-up. And for those wondering, he is not Southern, we were raised in a very far north rural Iowan county. It still has no stoplights to this day, and a hell of a lot more deer and pigs than people. Still a hillbilly, just a different kind than maybe you were thinking.     This is a beautiful table and a fun read. Now I gotta figure out a way to get this guy to help me build and install an 8ft x 8ft sliding pocket door made from some ludicrously heavy wood.
