This one was almost impossible to describe! Let me give it another shot: You've got your two pieces of cloth sewn together at the short ends to make one long, two-layered piece. Take one sewn-together end and fold it in, so that the seam part is between the two layers of cloth. You're basically making a giant puppet mouth. When you sew up the sides, you're going to end up with something that looks like a long bag on the outside and a short bag on the inside. I guess if this were origami, you'd have a loop of paper that was creased at each end. You would open up the loop and fold each piece in the middle toward the inside so that now the crease faced the other way, and you would end up with a loop of paper that looked (from the side) like the drawing I put in. And put ANOTHER WAY, if you put your fingers straight out like a you're holding a book, then curl your fingers in toward your palm - your fingers are the fabric, and it should curl in on itself like your fingers. Where your fingers meet is where the seam should be. Please let me know if this makes it any clearer or whether you're more confused now than you were before!
