Making these with LEDs instead of glow powder is one of my sometime-in-the-future projects, once I find small enough switches. A lot of the battery-powered LED necklaces I've seen are way too chunky-looking for my liking. I prefer things to be sleeker and the power source camouflaged.

Until reading through this I'd never given a thought to exactly how ice cream cakes are made. I may just have to give this a try one day (after buying a spring-form).
Made them myself. Didn't have a means of mounting the coconut shell to the lathe, thus the hand-sanding.
Thanks. :) Once I started with the song title theme I just had to see it through to the end, even if it was a bit challenging to find appropriate ones for each step.

If it's going to be relatively stationary, it might be best to wire it up for an A/C connection to plug into a wall socket, otherwise you're going to go through a lot of batteries. Or just stock up on rechargeable batteries, I suppose. Ooh, or make the base large enough that it can run off one of those portable power banks.
