These were done with ceramic clay, purchased at a pottery supply place and fired in a kiln. But you could just as easily use any air dried clay, purchased at a bargain store or made from a recipe. Oven baked salt dough could be used as well. Once they were dry or baked, you could paint them with acrylic paints.
