    hi Percy,I built a music studio at home a few years ago. I had 2 fixed windows in the room. One outside, one internal. The trick is to have differing thicknesses for the 2 panes and use the thickest glass you can afford.From memory I used 18mm in one panel and then 12mm in the other facing panel, Also if you can have them at slightly different angles to each other it will help break up the resonance. However my windows were non opening.Also if you are installing a separate wall there is a very specific measurement that should exist between the adjacent walls, something like 125 mm or thereabouts, I cannot remember exactly but if anyone is planning this then do some research on that gap.
