How to make a 3D Mario Coin box!
I forgot to add, doubling the pattern makes the bank about 4 times bigger than the original pattern just for reference. And if you over iron and the sides won't lock, you can take an exacto knife or boxcutter to trim the black pieces until they fit snuggly. I did that for both boxes because I like a more melted look.
This tutorial is great! I made two coin banks, one for me and one for my brother and we both love it. I doubled the size as I wanted to be able to save lots of bills and coins. The size of each block side 6" × 6", and it it really spacious when the whole thing is put together. It does require alot of beads to up the size (4 perler beads for each one used in the original pattern), but once I got working I seemed to zoom through making it! Took about 3 days total to make both, working off and on. I would recommend this pattern to anyone who loves mario and I've even used it as a basis to make a 2" block keychain, with some manipulating.
