LED Ground effects kit for your car
Man my hats off to you! I read about your cannon while looking for info to research a DIY small caliber (about one or two inches) HARP type gun. Not for a weapon but for fun and research. Also I need to motivate myself to build a cannon of some as yet unknown design as large as funds allow. The cannon projectile would be a 2 or so inch composite solid fueled rocket, probably using high powered model rocketry motors for reliability etc. I would use paper, plastic and similar material rocket for safety in the event of an launch failure, IF it could survive the violent takeoff. Maybe gasoline or a low explosive could be used for primary propellant? Anyway after the rocket was fired its rocket motor would ignite before the spin stabilized projectile begins its ballistic arch. Maybe after proof of concept that such a thing could work, the rocket projectile could be staged to gain more attitude? Balloons have served as launch platforms and they work well. I watched a Utube weather balloon rocket launch while sitting above the earth at a claimed 70,000 ft.! Balloons are cool but I just like big guns and the thunders roar and booms that shake my insides with waves of concession lol! Anyone have ideas or a used cannon, ha ha? I'm gonna do it...only being safe and limited funds will slow my progress.....
Hi! I know this seems to be a pretty old article, but would anyone happen to know if this would work with PVC coated wire? I'm looking to make a bird cage, and trying to avoid just buying premade meshes (which are all that come up if I try searching for a way to weld the stuff together).
Thanks for a great article. Solvent welding PVCpipe, fittings and valves can be very tricky, especially as the glues used aresuch high strength chemicals, the smell alone can give you a massive headacheand nearly knock you out! If anyone would like any further reading on this Ihave attached a link to a website which has detailed technical information onPVC pipe systems, with a picture based step by step guide to the gluing process which I have found very helpful https://www.eeziflo-fittings.com/technical I have also attached the image to this comment.

Awesome instructable! It would be even more awesome if you annotated your code. Especially this bit right here. I recognize that you are tweaking the PWM speed, but some novices might wonder what this wizardry is ;) TCCR0A = 2 << COM0A0 | 2 << COM0B0 | 3 << WGM00; TCCR0B = 0 << WGM02 | 1 << CS00; TCCR1 = 0 << PWM1A | 0 << COM1A0 | 1 << CS10; GTCCR = 1 << PWM1B | 2 << COM1B0;
Has anyone figured out a good way to safely thin PVC cement? I can't tell you how many cans of this stuff I have had to throw out because, invariably over time, the cement thickens into a useless gel substance. I was wondering about diluting it with acetone. Would that make it unsafe to use? The primer seems to last years, but the cement only lasts several months to a year.
If you were trying to glue two pieces together end to end, that will never work. You need a properly sized coupler fitting to do so.
