I think it would be possibly if you made your own sanding drums in some way and extended the shaft to the bottom and added some kind of bearing to hold it there - if you can get the fit on the bearing right without it getting stuck. My drill press is on the cheap side and a couple of years old, and I do not think that it is pretty accurate - or accurate at all. I have not had issues with the sanding being askew or something, but I have not used this set-up for jointing operations where that right angle is crucial. In short, yet, it would be possibly, but you have to decide whether it is worth the effort. Thanks for checking it out!

Well... My Arduino is not that fluent, is there a library that smashes your brains out by a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick? I would be surprised if not... But if someone really built that someone else would come by and order some tea...

Good point. Apart from not having either machine (which I would love to fix), I would argue that the CNC is merely a (glorified) router, so those two methods kinda cover that, and since a 3D printer does not create the hole in something but surrounds it with stuff, I would say the hot glue gun covers that base - especially since you could probably make a tealight holder from hot glue alone without that pesky wood.
