More progress. first laid out pattern on the victim, I mean, my daughter in a piecemeal pattern. Then made solid pattern, then transfer to 10mm foam, then cut out and detail. I'll hot-glue the breastplate together to make the arm-holes, with patches for reinforcement and to hide the seams (don't know any other way here). Then I'll add a zipper in back. She'll put it on like a backwards jacket.My wife is making the dress, belt, and purse. I need to add details to the helmet, obviously
I picked up some 10mm flexible foam from a yoga mat. Also, helmet!
What is your EVA foam of choice? How thick? I'm going down this pathway rather quickly for my daughter's (6yo) Honey Lemon costume for this week's comicon in Minneapolis...
