Hey Dr. Explosion! I put the hole and the hose connect in my sprinker vale, and filled the solenoid with plumber's putty. I want to know If I did it right. It seems something is wrong because when I blow in the valve it comes out where the blowgun trigger is, and when I release the air, it just goes out the trigger. Did I do something wrong? Or is it supposed to be like that?

What should happen, if you're blowing in the right end (the end with arrows pointing inwards) very hard, air should stop flowing after a few seconds and stay blocked until you squeeze the blow gun, after which the air should flow through to the other side. I recommend using hot glue to seal the solenoid hole. Also, make sure that the hose connection is air tight on both ends. If you're still having problems, let me know.
