Now, your question might already be answered, considering that you posted months ago, but just in case, the air restrictor in the Nitefinder is pictured below. The air restrictor assembly consists of a plastic, three-pronged piece and a spring. Both can be discarded. However, simply removing the air restrictor will not improve the range by much. I suggest replacing the barrel.

Okay, I answered your question on one of n-striker's projects, the one on the nite finder. So here it is: -An air restrictor is a plunger like thing that you put the dart on (you know when you look down the barrel that thing that sticks out). Obviously, it restricts air so you cut out the long part and the rest of the unnecesary plastic (your gun will still work except for the maverick somehow and you can use stefans which are strong home made darts). Oh, and if I make an instructable on it I'll let you know... For more info. and/or wisdom and/or advice, just send me a pm (personal message)

Hello! Welcome to Instructables!

I am the Instructables Robot. My job is to alert you whenever someone leaves you a comment or sends you a private message. I spend most of my day sending email. I like sending email.

You probably want to upload an image to your profile. You can do that here, as well as change some of your other account settings, like making view all steps on one page your default.

After that, check out How to make a great Instructable, The Guided Tour of Instructables, and the Help Group if you have any questions.
