One of the reasons I like your weapons in specific is the fact that you put piece lists on your "ibles", unlike some others. That is very specific and extremely (you might even say K'Nextremely) helpful.
Looking at Step 5: Image 6/7 (Cheek rest, as you called it), if you reversed the order of every other dark grey connector, the structural integrity would be greater.

This is the first of your builds I could've done, primarily due to lack of certain pieces. When I built the harpoon cannon, I thought it would've connected to something. When the model was done, I was still trying to figure out where it went.:)

Something else interesting-There are groups out there that harvest coconut shells and turn them into a very efficient charcoal.
I love Perler Beads. I actually made miniature 3D World Trade Centers (The original towers) out of grey and clear beads.

This model was outlandishly large. I made it in Metallic colors to see what it would look like.
