I see this more useful for helping others that have lost their keys. But your point is valid. If you have lost your key, then you've probably locked your pick kit inside. A wise person would keep the kit in their car (as long as you don't lock your car keys in your car).

Nice design. One question: How did you drive the two stepper motors (Y-axis I think) from the 3-axis board? I have the same controller board and want to do the same thing. Except mine will drive Nema 17s.
If I'm reading this right, you're saying connect them in "parallel". Four wires connected to the controller board, then split the four wires off to the two motors. Very cool. Thank you.
