    Nd:YAG Laser

Hi, this is a great project! Congratulations!!! :DCan you give more details about it?Where have you bought the parts? How did you calculated the distances between the reflective parts? How do you control the laser?Best regards

Hi, that's great. So you're an expert on the field. That's awesome.I doing my Master degree in Mechatronical Engineering and I am trying to build a YAG/Fiber laser engraving/cutting machine. I am trying to build it myself from basic components and controlling it by some kind of G-Code instructions. This solution will not be professional, but I think it will be cheaper this way.Do you have some advices on how to build it and how to choose the components? The alignment stage is critical. How can I do it properly? How to calculate the distance between the back and front mirrors?Do you use commercial software, like Ezcad, or some other based in G-Code, for example? The power supply you use could, technically power other kind of lasers, or just that one?Sorry for all the questions. Thanks in adv...see more »Hi, that's great. So you're an expert on the field.
