I'm wondering what you mixed into the first rock layer. Sand & Rocks? Very nice video if someone has goldfish or Koi.
Thank you for sharing
It was a mix of smaller rocks from an old tank and sand i had collected from outside which i then boiled for a couple of hours and dried / sieved. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for your contrabution and thanks for watching
Thanks for Watching they usually last a few days its just an alternative to putting the tube in the bin that's all.
Here's another way with whole rolled oats i.e. not "quick" oats.In a small sauce pan add:1 tablespoon per person of oats.Salt to tasteMay add cinnamon, saffron, vanilla, etc., if you wish.Pour in boiling water - You will have to experiment with this. Depends on each batch of oats. They vary. How thick you like your porridge?Leave overnight.Cook next morning, stirring frequently until the "cream" starts to rise.Serve straight or with a pat of butter, some honey, milk, etc.

Sounds like a great idea but what to the birds cling on to while trying to feed. Plus, in my garden it would last about 2min before the food was gone and I had to replace it. A full plastic version of this with mixed seed on the inside gets emptied daily, and that only caters for a few varieties of birds. I won't mention all the others we feed.Yes, we live in the countryside but feeding the birds is great for the parents feeding chicks and for the chicks themselves when they first leave the nest. It also provides hours of entertainment for our house cat.
