Thanks! The A19 is a standard household bulb size, and from what I was able to research, it looks like it can indeed be used in a base that plugs directly into a 110v wall outlet. For the dimmer, I need to use a UL-listed dimmer for similar lamps--which I can source from Amazon. For other electronics projects, are there sites you recommend for getting my feet wet?
I'm planning to make a desk lamp using a dimmable A19 7w LED. A couple questions: 1. What kind of dimmer/potentiometer can I use?2. Can I simply plug the A19 bulb socket/base into a 110V wall outlet, or is there something special (e.g., power supply) needed?3. Is there a newb-friendly resource for learning how to do these relatively simple electronics projects?
