View Instructable »Just a thought. The spring steel I used was taken from the OD of a windshield sun shade. Got mine at Goodwill, but can be sourced new (and cheap) through Walmart. Each side contains about 8 feet of thin-band spring steel. Cut it into 2 inch pieces and bend to the contour shown in the pictures.The additional cold working of the steel makes a stronger spring.
