    The pocket grill

I really like this idea! I would like to clear up the copper and potential hazardous materials involved. I work with copper as a metal artist and use propane and butane to heat it to glowing. There are no fumes released as a result of heating it that I have noticed or read about. Also, the temperature it must reach to get it to glow are far higher than what a camp fire can reach unless you're using a kiln and pumping in oxygen. Now, there is oxidation after heating to certain levels which can affect flavor of food, so I wouldn't allow food to touch the copper parts. I don't know what bike spokes are made of, maybe differing materials, so I would be more concerned about what those are made of and how heating them might transfer toxic materials to food. Perhaps, you should place some alum...see more »I really like this idea! I would like to clear up the copper and potential hazardous materials involved. Perhaps, you should place some aluminum foil down to make sure.
