No problem. Yeah, you have to use a fan on an E3D. I have designed a mount so that you can use this setup with E3Ds, but it's still very much in testing, and unfortuately I haven't had time to do much with it lately. I'll post here when I do get around to finishing the design.
Not on Jheads, no. I've never used a fan on it, and I don't believe I've had any heat based problems because of it. Since writing this I've started experimenting with E3Ds, which do require a fan. I've also only printed ABS thus far, so that may also have something to do with my lack of necessity for extra cooling.
