If you would cut two rectangular holes in the back, one on the top of the back board and one on the bottom. Attach lightweight plastic on the inside of the lower one and one on the outside of the upper one. Sit in a window on the south side of your house, you would be amazed how much heat is generated into the room during a sunny day! made a similar one without cans, just painted cardboard flat black, put the covered holes on the top and bottom. Taped it to a south window in my living room. The temperature of my living room rose almost 10 degrees during a sunny winter day.
