    The design is striking, I like it. A couple for suggestions to make it a bit safer. Lamp holders can come in three parts threaded. That way if the hole is drilled to leave 5mm between sides then they can just screw against it from both sides, and there is no need to hot glue. Hot glue does not last forever, and if someone used incandescent bulbs it could melt it. Slightly harder to do the drilling, but would make it safer, and permanent. It would look the same. Metal staples on the wire concerns me a bit too. It is possible to get plastic saddles that do not run the risk of biting into the insulation when hammered. Or later when the piece is moved, stored etc. What did you do with the Earth Wire in the ceiling? Electrical taped it at the least, or hopefully terminated it in a cabl...
