Ooh, ideas. I am trying to think of a way to use a few sentimentally salvaged drawers, and this may be it, but without the sanding. I aim to preserve all the chipped paint layers and graffiti scratchings of generations of high school students. I may even hack at them with a screwdriver to distress them a little more. Thanks!

Jim's Rising Chair
Oh, this reminds me of a little stool that my Grandma Lila made of cans and covered with a hooked (rug) piece she made to cover it. Me and my siblings all loved this thing. Now we are in our 50's and my sister still has it!

OLD DRAWER TO SHELF
Ooh, I am looking out the window at a big branch that broke off my white pine, now I feel more inspired and less annoyed. Thanks.
Upcycling a Christmas Tree Into a Key Hanger
Nice inspiration, Barry. I have been planning to make a shadow box to display a few keepsakes of my late husband and had not thought of a cigar box. I have an old, pre-embargo Partagas box (I had been saving for a CBG, but I already have two of those) and I think a shelf, a clear face and a sealant coat to bring up the colors will make a lovely display for a couple of pipes and such.
Thanks for this design. I want something at an intermediate height between ottoman and zafu and this will fit the bill nicely. I especially like that my feet will be able to settle where they want, (which is under me, as they used to sit on a foot ring on my old work stool).
