The nut that you cut in half to use as a locking mechanism in conjunction with the levers you made is simple...SIMPLY GENIUS that is!!! Lol, I'm bookmarking this page just for the sheer fact that I would love to use that same idea on something of my own in the near future... I'm not exactly sure what yet, but the possibilities are limitless and the wheels are definitely spinning in my head thinking of all the ways I could potentially implement that into one of many different applications. For a "Poor Man's Lathe," you definitely have some skills, talent and most of all, igenuity my friend! keep up the good work.
Well that makes sense. Thanks! :) Cool I'ble!
Once I saw how this works and uses induction, does that mean it can only find ferrous metals or will it pick up things like aluminum as well? By the way, this is an awesome Instructable! 5 stars!
Awesome Instructable and very cool video and creation! I'd just be worried about it somehow running low or loosing power and falling unexpectedly! Ouch!
Awesome! Good to know, I can't afford a CNC cutter either and if I could I wouldn't use it enough to make up for the price anyway... Or maybe I would... Lol.
