  • Make a "professional" kazoo from PVC pipe

    I made it! Great Instructable!I live in a "regional" area of Australia, I wanted to try a kazoo to accompany my wife on her ukulele. 30km's to a music shop selling cheap kazoos or make my own. No contest! Tees I got had dot stops, not an internal shoulder, so I cut and inserted a ring of pvc to create a shoulder. Inserted a rubber "O" ring on top of that shoulder, inserted "membrane", then small PVC length, (sanded as per motleyjust's comment). Hummed into it, frequency range is lower than my voice, up to higher than my voice! Better range than a bought one! AND MUCH LOUDER! An afternoon of fun produced noises from a duck quack to a mosquito whine! So impressed I will add a guitar pickup to make it into an electric kazoo, and later, a pitch to mid...see more »I made it! Oh! the hole in the short length of tube, (holding membrane in place), is to stick a rod in to assist in twisting the tube out when replacing the membrane!Thank you Author!
