here is how u build it
layer of tape around the rod
add fins
fold 3 pieces of tape leaving the ends so u can stick em on the rod
next add tape from the tip of one fin to the tip of the other so each fin is now thicker and stronger
then add a layer of tape to each fin on its leading edge to strengthen the fin further and to make it as areodynamic as possible
finally cut each fin to about a 1/4 inch
your done go shoot it! it should fly straight as an arrow!

i haven't worked on shotguns for awhile now but... ive been playing around with all sorts or different shotgun variations trying to figure out what would work best...
ive gotta be honest i never figured out witch one i was going to go with...
as for the shells... yes they are big with is a downside but they do shoot 8 white rods 50ft with a good accurate spread
the wheels require a new rail gun idea an seem to shoot well doubled up with a green rod or as individual separate shots i still have to work on it and see how it all ends up... i do feel that the wheels have potential as a shotgun or even as a semi or pump action sorta thing... they seem to shoot way better than standard rods so im going to continue to look into em...

wow! lol...ive never had that happen to me but my black rods r brand new so they r really strong...anyway i would highly recommend making a stronger stock and or reinforcing that one... ive been busy busy busy lately so i haven't had time to make any mods however making a sturdier stock was one on the mods i was hoping to work on... anyway make a stronger stock however u want the rail stock is for adding a slide and to save on parts and money but id recommend building a mod for it or a connector stock... like i said i was working on one but never had time to finish it so ill let u know if i ever do good luck i hope the gun works out for u... : ( it should work great once u fix it up

i haven't done much with anything recently however if you look under my TR8 slide show you can see all the latest TR8 mods near the end of the slideshow

i haven't done anything with the TR18 mostly because ive been leaning towards the TR8 b/c it is easier to build and less to go wrong for the majority of builders/users

right now its just a shell you attach to the front of a NAR or TRw/out the turret or whatever i haven't actually worked on it in forever

its is a shotgun shell at the moment... however
i have made a few different prototypes and hopefully one of these days ill have a working auto loading shotgun that shoots like shown in the pics... i have most of the problems figured out its more of a matter of making it

from what i can tell it looks pretty good... i haven't worked on mine in awhile so im not for sure but here r some pics for u
i noticed the front tan clips should look like mine to better support/brace themselves better

oya an on the turret u should definitely use tan clips to hold the white mini pins so that way if u ever need to replace the part holding the rod it is not a pain and u won't have to take the whole turret apart

it just makes life easier for you... the shouldn't be breaking anyway however if u shoot smaller ammo with a lot of force it could shoot out the white mini pins but i can't remember the last time that has happened to me...
the only reason i ever had em break is when my pin was sticking out the end of the gun too far pushing past the turret which would obviously put tons of stress on the mini pins and break the connection points...
i think ill pull my TR out tonight and see how she shoots tonight

get newer black rods... lol
honestly tho the firing pins will weaken over time and use so new rods will help i make sure to buy up as many new black rods as i can

this minor mod helps keep the return band attached its a big help when shooting at a high ROF

i know that the rod wants to bend and snap at about 7 bands... i highly recommend using 5 or 6... i usually use 6 any more and cocking it becomes next to impossible and at the very least not very practical for wars not to mention the max range u will get with standard finammo is going to remain around 300ft regardless of the bands used after 5 bands... the rod is too light to push much further however on a straight line it would obviously shoot straighter further which is y i recommend 6 bands
and u have to use the firing pin back the way i and ooda make it or else it will break lol
anyway sry about the novel but i figured it would hurt to know

anyway good stuff so how is the turret connection holding up for u? (the whole ball joint piece holding onto the rod to allow for easy turret rotation and yet a strong hold... is it loosening with multiple shots or staying strong?

looks close but here r some of my more recent pics
from your pics i noticed that the back of the barrel/body was different and from testing i found that the version u have is not nearly as strong/reliable to my latest version so id definitely change that up
um it looks like ur trigger is missing the pcs to keep it from being overpulled which helps prevent the trigger from braking
add a Y con an etape to the orange charging handle to make it easier/comfier to pull back
u have an extra gold con on the front of the barrel
on my most recent version i replaced the green cons on the barrel w/ yellow cons so that the turret stop can b placed on either side of the barrel
the stock looks good but if u have black rods use em to strengthen the stock
u modded ur handle a bit but that is more of a preference thing so no biggy there
o and one other pretty major thing is on your turret u should use tan clips so that way if/when the mini firing rods or the pcs that holds em in place need replacing u won't have to take the entire turret apart...w/ the tan clips all u have to do is snap a new one on which is a huge time saver
other than that.... lol id say it looks good
o ya i put up a pic of my trigger but on my version i don't have the Y con on it

if u r going to focus on any of the mods id start w/ the back of the barrel/body area considering that will most affect the reliability/performance of the gun
along w/ the trigger mod
