French doors, also called French windows are less durable than normal doors. They usually have more glass in them and are generally found opening out from a living area into the garden. Incidentally you will find them hinged as well as sliding, the hinged variety are quite popular here in England, I settled here after emigrating from Mars.
If you were correct Poppy Ann there would be no comments regarding the record player stylus, which is the more appropriate meaning. It's only younger people and not all of them, that haven't seen a vinyl record player. In fact as vinyl is now making a return more and more younger people are becoming aware of them. I, like many others, clicked on this because I thought it was about record players and not touch screens.
I treated myself to one a couple of months ago because I needed to repair a laptop hard drive, got it off ebay for £60 but that was one of the fancier ones, the standard ones are about £30 if you look for them.If you just want it for welding then a hair drier might do it depending on the type of plastic being welded or a hot air gun will definitely do it, all cheaper than a rework station.
Has everyone forgotten where the filament for 3D printing originally came from? It was first made as the fillet for plastic welding, the plastic was softened by a hot air blower which later gave rise to the reflow tool used for smd circuits.
An amazing project, well done. I'm surprised that no-one has asked if it plays Celestina Warbeck on Christmas Day ?

Absolutely amazing my friend, I'm very jealous of your skills. I wish I had a single gram of your ability, I'd be happy. Was the $3000 your build cost or the sale price? I'm assuming you're professional yes?
That is my question. The extruder is a really nice instructable but what makers want apart from buying granules to make the majority of their material is a granulator. This would then allow recycling of failed prints, rafts etc so that there is no waste, great for the enviroment and the pocket too !Before I retired I worked at a company that made tungsten tool tips, for masonary drills and other engineering applications. I worked in the powder room where we prepared the powders for the pressers and part of the process was granulating the blocks of tungsten, the machine we used was actually meant really a sugar granulator but the screen could be changed to allow different sized granules to be made. Some thing like this would be perfect for reprocessing used plastics for extrusion.Keith
To be honest it seems a lot of messing about. I just look at a resistor and recognise it's value immediately. Anyone with experience, either hobbyist or professional will soon memorise the pattern and have no need of a multimeter. This comes automatically without any specific learning methods.
Exactly my point except it isn't learning as such, it comes automatically through repetition without any effort to learn.
Excellent sir, well done indeed!
