I am an underpaid underworked superhero. Or an overpaid underworked automation mechanic for material handling, mostly indoor overhead crane systems. I used to be (for13years) a cableguy. Worked in CATV from TCI in 1994 to AT&T in 1999-2003-4 then Comcast bought it all and slimmed out the technicians pulling in the big $.. My base was under 50k a year but with on call and O.T. I made 70K +.. In 2006 I was too big a target and they sent me packing along with 20 others.
