Does anyone know a federal law or legal precedent that allows urban chickens? My small community recently outlawed all "farm" animals, because someone had a horse and was raising a cow on their 50'x140' lot, but the law included poultry and rabbits. I don't have money to hire a lawyer, but would like information that I could present to the town council that may reverse this law.
A cotton swab soaked with laundry ammonia works pretty well for me. I keep a bottle of ammonia in each of my outbuildings. I'm not allergic to the stings, as in I don't go into respiratory failure, but I do have bad swelling/itching result from stings. The ammonia helps a lot.
It does not work. The idea that wasps stay 200 feet from another nest is wrong. Several years ago I had a wasp nest under the eaves of a shed. Because I got stung a number of times when entering the shed, I sprayed it with wasp killer, but left the nest up. Within a few weeks, wasps had started building another nest about 4 feet from the first one. I kept spraying them with wasp killer and over the last couple years, there are now 7 nests within a 15 foot area.
There must be a typo. The pipe shown in the picture is more than 13mm diameter!
