These little pulse sensors are invaluable when it comes to measuring pulse, I love them. Should be noted that they require a layer of protection on the front and back of the circuit since any amount of touch can skew your results. I learned this after many failed attempts.I used hot glue on the back circuit and a piece of clear scotch tape on the LED/photodiode side.
