I feel as though these standards may have been relaxed somewhat in recent times.
I see you have a laser cutter, which model do you have? Sorry if you specified somewhere, still trying to understand this site..
This bird flew into my open bathroom window during a snow storm. I have not found anyone who knows what kind it is. Have any idea? Thanks.
Have a great day.
It's a sparrow of some kind, probably a house sparrow or a tree sparrow, though a very tatty one. I can't remember where in the world you are (beyond "the USA"), so the best I can do for now is point you here:
If you're getting into birds, I recommend a decent guide - when I was in San Francisco, I used The Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Western North America (there's an Eastern version as well), and there's a very good app as well (search for Sibley birds app), better than I've found for British birds, and we invented the pass time!
Oh, and you'll need a pair of binoculars. You can get decently-priced 8x32 roof prism binoculars, but don't buy online until you've tried them in your hands and on your face. Go to a store (hunting stores are probably good for you), look at things outside (take them into the street and check out roofs), choose your pair, then browse for that exact model online.
Sorry I did not see your reply sooner. I am saving these links and appreciate you taking the time to share them. I thought it looked kind of like a sparrow but the color of it through me off because I have not seen one like it before, but bird watching is very new to me. Thanks again Mr. K. I hope your day is amazing!
